We have successfully moved out of New York and into our new room at Lasell and are ready for senior year! Rarity is at the sewing machine hospital currently, getting her needle alignment fixed so that needles will stop breaking. She should return to us in about a week or so, and as soon as she does, Pinkie Pie's patches can be finished and the costume shipped out. Next up on the commissions board is Rarity's Grand Galloping Gala dress, which is very exciting because it is officially the last commission that Dear Dahlia has left to finish before work can begin on the garments for Cirque des Ámes!
Work on Project Pink will begin very soon as well. Fabric has already been purchased and designer Martha Powell will be meeting with her designated model this week in order to get measurements.
In even more exciting news, Martha's international boutique, My Mayfair corset set, will be featured opening night of Boston Fashion Week at Le Défilé celebrating French culture and its impact on Boston fashion! This is a huge opportunity for her debut as a designer, as she has been chosen with some of her classmates to represent Lasell at this event. This is a remarkable success for a student designer.
September will be a busy month, but by taking it one step at a time, it is sure to be one of Dear Dahlia's most successful!
